What Ages Do You Perform Your Birthday Party Magic Shows For?

What ages will your children's comedy magic show work for? Believe it or not I was called the other day for a two year old birthday party which is not out of the norm, however all of the guests were going to be around two years old and that is a little strange.

If you think about it, everything in a kid's world is magic, everything is new to them. There is a box on the wall that shows them all kinds of things and takes them all over the place. This is the TV, right? So everything is new and magical, however once they turn about 4 years old there's real magic in the world, there's mystery and they get the concept of what should and should not happen. So for this reason, I like to perform my birthday party magic show for ages four and up.

As a children's magician I have performed magic shows at a lot of one year old birthday parties but typically these parties are going to have kids that are older than one. I'm performing my show for the kids that are older than one, and not actually for the one year olds.

So there you go, generally the audience for a magic show should be four years old or older.
